Hi,
Does anyone know of any good 'best practice for L&D managers' or 'effective L&D manager' workshops or similar?
I'm looking for something that will give me a solid understanding of things like how to conduct effective TNA sessions, how to consult/interact with (senior) managers, how to identify key business needs, how to be effective with a management population, that sort of thing.
I am CIPD qualified already, but don't feel like gave particularly practical information/examples.
Any advice/suggestions would be extremely helpful.
Thanks in advance,
James.

Hello James,
I’ve been looking for something similar. The Training Foundation have a 3 day L&D Consultancy workshop which sounds ideal for my needs. Visit http://www.tap-training.com
Hope this helps.

Consultancy skills
Hi James
We are about to re-launch our ‘Trainer’s journey’ a flexible developement programme. The new programme reflects the massive change there has been in the expectations business has of it’s L&D function. We have a module on consultancy skills which you may be interested in.
We generally run our programmes in house but have had so much interest from people in a similar position to you that we may run this as an open programme.
We also offer a project based solution where we work alongside you on a real time work project and offer coaching or more structured support.
Have a look at our website – there’s free stuff there too – the new brochure will be available next week and if you are interested then send us an email and we’ll make sure you get one hot of the press!
