Lean Manufacturing Games

default-16x9

I am looking for training exercises which introduce concepts of Lean Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, Reducing Inventory, Improving Efficiency and Change Management for employees across Europe with a wide range of English language skills. Could anyone help point me towards organisations and/or games which would assist. I am in the automotive industry and industry specific games would be a distinct advantage.
Thanks in advance for your help

  1. Source of Supplies
You might investigate the ABSEL website as this has links to suppliers of games and simulations for Business Training

  2. Your answer for lean manufacturing game
    Hi
Yes there is a one day simulation that suit you perfectly, it is called Slingshot and is available from MLR – 01267 281661
or [email protected] if you look on their website mlr.co.uk the product code is 5804.
It uses a dragster type racing car and the automotive people love it…

Great fun and covers enough ground for you as the facilitator to bring out all the learning required.

  3. JIT
I have had great success in running a game called “The JIT Simulation game” with various manufacturing companies. This exercise has been out for some years and is superb for the criteria you state above as it uses every aspect of the requirements to be lean. Delegates are usually a mixture of all levels as anyone can take part and play any of the roles in the exercise.(10-15 players)
It uses Knex as the principle component, with full cost anaysis breakdown at the end of each financial year.
I have even run it with post 16 kids in an attempt to transfer the knowledge prior to them entering work life. (think of the benefits)
If you want to know more please e mail, i am more than happy to help.
    Regards Graham
