Learning Styles Questionnaires

default-16x9

We use  H&M's Learning Styles in our group training certificate - just been told that H&M has been sold and new owners no longer license/allow us to print our own copies. We pay a license fee or rather used to, and have embedded it into the workbooks. Just wondering is there an alternative anyone is aware of. We don’t mind paying annual license fee, just want to integrate a learning styles questionnaire it into the workbooks rather than signposting to a website !

  1. Possible suggestion ..

Hi Gerry, not necessarily a learning style but have you considered the representational systems which examine how individuals receive and process information.  Specifically VAKOG – visual, auditory and kinesthetic preferences but also (if appropriate) olfactory and gustatory.  I acknowledge it’s not quite the same but thought it worth mentioning given your current situation.  🙂

  2. Thank you very much

    Many thanks for replying Clare
I agree with your sentiment about  VAKOG, it works, but there is something powerful about the realisation of one’s own learning styles that the H&M questionnaire brings, which is not really achieved in VAKOG . I suppose H&M is a bit like that famous Dutch beer ‘it reaches the parts others……….. ………

    Thanks again

  3. Read Frank Coffield

The Frank Coffield report referred to in Steve Wheeler’s blog post caused the UK Government to pull all references to "learning styles" from their advice to schools.

Yes, we might have a learning style – but it will change depending on the time of day, your emotional state, what you’re learning, how interested you are in it. Any number of factors. We need to help people recognise that, but not to put them into a box that says they have a particular, unchanging way of learning.

  4. Printing cheap pocket folders

Printing cheap pocket folders is from time to time needed, especially if you are in a commerce or part of a scheme that wants to slash cost. You should understand however, that leaving at this cheaply is not as simple as you might think. Cheap pocket folders will characteristically be less effectual, and if you have a big objective set for these prints, you are more probable to succeed than to achieve something.
