I'm interested in becoming a trainer which involves a complete career change. I live in Mid Glamorgan in South Wales and am trying to find out if any of my local universities, colleges run CIPD accredited Train the Trainer Courses.
I'm currently searching the local colleges' websites and have ordered a number of their prospectus. It would be helpful however if anyone already knew of any local courses.
I've also looked on the CIPD website and note that there doesn't appear to be any Welsh branches. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

CIPD in South Wales

There is an active CIPD branch in South Wales which meets regularly at the Cardiff Bay Hotel. I don’t have this years committee details but the events contact for last year was Jerry Shelton on 01633 212375. I am sure if you give him a call he could put you in touch with the right person to answer your question.
CIPD courses in South Wales

As a supplementary answer Gwent College ran a CIPD Certificate in Training Practice evening course last year at their Usk campus – if you give them a call I am sure that will be able to help you. The course was run by Shirley Morris & Caroline (?). Shirley is also very active in the South wales CIPD branch.
