management standards for the voluntary sector

default-16x9

I am currently researching management standards that are for, or have been contextualised for, the voluntary sector. I am particularly interested in finding any NVQ awarding bodies that have produced guidelines for the sector or have made links. I work for a project that is aiming to devise standards for managers of volunteers, so are seeking these to (a) plagiarise them! and (b) signpost managers in the voluntary sector so that they find out about relevant qualifications.

Many thanks, Danny

  1. National Standards for managers
There is every reason to use the NVQ Management standards. First teh managers will be using the skills within their role to meet some if not all of the standards. Secondly the qualification is useful should the managers be transfering their skills. The management standards cover management skills rather than specific technical skills and are therefor most appropriate for many occupational sectors. Please feel free to ask for further information

  2. Arian Associates Ltd
    Try NEBS Management

They are the management awarding body of City & Guilds
