Management Training Programme

default-16x9

Can anyone recommend a management training consultancy? We are a small company with a lot of very young managers which has grown very quickly, and are need of a management training programme for our managers. I am interested in a bespoke solution for our company and as such would like to compare a number of consultancies who can make recommendations to help us manage the change the organisation has experienced and help us improve the skill levels of our managers.

  1. Management Training
We have used a London based organisation called Training for Change who can run both bespoke and off the shelf management courses – including management qualifications for various levels of manager.

You could call Carolyn Prosser (020 7928 6111) to discuss your needs.

    Hope that’s useful

  2. management training
Contact Jon Kendall at Castleton Partners (020 7486 9700) he specialises in this area and is both innovative and provocative! He’s not cheap but you do get your moneys worth.

  3. Adizes has some useful insights into corporate lifecycles
Jon Kendal gets even more innovative and provocative when me and Martin Lambden are working with him!

That apart, I would be doing us a disservice if I did not put forward Hidden Resources – much more interested in tailored solutions than NVQs, MCI etc. Small, young, growing companies face very different challenges to more mature ones (see Adizes’ various books on corporate lifecycles for some useful insights) and it’s good that you have recognised this. 4. A coaching approach?
Have you considered a coaching or mentoring approach to supporting your management team’s development?

Coaching tends to be well received as it demonstrates commitment towards the employee and offers a platform for working on specific individual, development needs.

It can be delivered through a mix of one-to-one and group activities to balance skills transfer/development with attention to individual strengths, weaknesses and management/interpersonal styles. It also facilitates the team in understanding team dynamics so that they can work effectively as a management team as well as managing themselves and their functional departments.

For more information about coaching and mentoring visit http://www.coachingnetwork.org.uk This is a free information resource dedicated to coaching and mentoring. We also have an on-line referral service through which you can search for coaches who best meet your needs. Or contact me on 0870 733 3313 or [email protected]

PS We don’t charge to help you find suitable coaches, unless you ask us to undertake a detailed assessment of your needs which is rarely necessary.
