good luck! current culture awareness before implementating change is Recommended!!! look at the companies that employ Matrix -eg 3M and christian aid. It is something that MUST be bought into across all levels and not just imposed from above cos they think it’s good which is what was around when I was helping a multi national do culture shift in this country aarghh!!

Understanding culture
I have recently completed a CIPD assignment on culture, and I found Understanding Organisations by Charles Handy really useful, although it is an old text. It includes a questionnaire to discover culture in your organisation and explains the culture needed to achieve a matrix organisation. Hope this helps.
