Mentoring in Schools

default-16x9

I am a mentor in a local school, and my last mentee was a year 11 student who was studying for his GCSEs. This service is organised and co-ordinated by our local Chamber of Commerce. The mentors are volunteers and are chosen and released by their employer to provide this service.
Could anyone advise me as to whether there are accredited programmes out there that could help ensure mentoring standards and boundaries be understood and adhered to. This would help towards providing a quality in the support given and an assurance that everyone operated to recognisable policies and procedures. I have recently met with a lady from the Open College Network who has offered to help me, but if there is already a programme written so much the better.
Any suggestions offered would be much appreciated, this is mentoring young people through their final years in school, thus bringing with it all the teenage issues of today.
