I am looking for some methods or exercises to help with reviewing and reflecting on team roles. I am running a classic away weekend to merge two organsiations into one. We need some new ways of thinking about peoples roles in and attitudes to the team. Anyone know of a reworked Belbinesque equivalent that is curent and new and stimulating? And which helps in analysing how the teams health?
thanks

Team Roles
Hi Janie,
try speaking to Andy Lothian at Insights http://www.insightsworld.com/ telephone 01382 908050.
Insights have a colour scheme that links to team behaviours in an innovative way. They also have software to identify your “colours” based on a questionnaire.
Andy and his team have used the Insights team role approach at some very big companies including British Airways, Novartis, Nat West and Axa Insurance. I have been through it and I think it is more relevant to today’s team practices than Belbin.
If you get in touch with Insights, please tell Andy I put you in touch with him.
Regards,
Gary

Team health
Hi Janie,
2 ‘methods’ that I use are
a) the Drexler-Sibbet Team Performance Model which you can find out about either from David Sibbet’s site http://www.grove.com, or by mailing me directly,
b) the LIFO® Life Orientations survey Hope it helps
