Within a training course, I am covering negotiating skills for use in a project environment. I want to provide an exercise for the participants to practice. However, their weakness is in negotiating once a situation has gone bad. Has anyone got a case study they would be prepared to let me use that meets this particular scenario?

Negotiating scenarios
I find it best to let my clients construct their own scenarios, supervised by a neutral colleague of theirs to make sure both ‘sides’ have a realistic picture, and the trainer to make sure that any deal is actually do-able…
‘Disaster scenarios’ are of course high profile, but often have huge opportunities for win-win by both parties, properly handled, as I am sure you will know!
