Now you can learn and engage in CPD whilst carrying out your ordinary work.
A leading e-learning company is this week due to announce a scheme which could revolutionise the delivery of online learning - by enabling individual learning to occur in the background, without distracting the employee from their current work.
The EasyLearner programme takes the concept first used by companies such as Linguaphone - playing tapes and CDs at home or in the car - but adapts the idea to the modern computer world. The staff member opens up the EasyLearner interface on their computer first thing in the morning, and then gets on with their ordinary work.
EasyLearner 'streams' the selected learning programme using subliminal messages and sounds whilst the student is engaged on other tasks. However, easyLearner offers a tangible benefit: at the end of the day, when the staff member closes down their computer, it presents the student with a checklist of their learning and prints off a certificate for them.
Of course, if you move away from your desk, the learning is lost - but easyLearner is developing a solution to this problem by working to embed their learning programmes into sound files for use in laptops and portable playing devices.
So, if you want to 'learn whilst you work' check out the easyLearner website.
