New i-Net+ due for release in beta form

CompTIA will be releasing a new version of i-Net+ certification on April 12th, however the old version will not retire until May 31st.

CompTIA stated that the main changes being made to the certification will include an “increased emphasis on security” and new “technologies like wireless networking”.

In other news, CompTIA have confirmed the name for it’s new security-related certification as Security+. The certification is due to be released this autumn in beta form. CompTIA are currently looking for subject matter experts (SME’s) to assist with developing questions for the new certification.
