New Staff Onboarding

default-16x9

I am looking for some advice and recommendations re external training providers who could put together a package to help “onboard” new staff to our organisation. Our initial thoughts would be an online package that includes, for example: · Ability to complete the necessary HR paperwork online · Enable new staff to access relevant information eg our business plan, copies of our staff newsletter · Interactive quizzes, questions, treasure hunt, research, reading exercises about: different departments in the organisation, aims and objectives, history of the company, child protection, Staff Values Can anyone recommend providers who offer this service, or can you point me in the right direction to start with?

  1. Custom solution
    Hi Janice

You will need to have a custom solution developed for you to meet the individual business requirements.

As staff induction programmes often make use of an e-lerning element, there are plenty of providers out there with experience of this type of solution.

My own website lists quite a large number of key providers with these type of skills: http://e-learninglist.co.uk/services.php?service=Bespoke+Course+Development

We also offer a free service to help to connect you with some of them. By filling out a simple form you can invite up to six providers to contact you and begin talking about your needs. Doing this does not commit you to any of their solutions – but it does help you to start talking to the right people.

You can fill in the form on this page: http://e-learninglist.co.uk/newregister.php

  2. Help sourcing Training providers
Hi Janice, I think that many L&D buyers can relate to your predicament: which Training provider (TP) could / should I use and which TP does what? It’s a position that, as a former T&D Manager, I was in myself many, many times. I would recommend http://www.toptrainingbroker.com where you can post your L&D need as a project, state a deadline for replies, set a budget if you want and specify any other criteria. Then you just get on with other work and wait for tailored replies from suitable providers. It’s FREE for L&D Buyers and according to several of my clients has saved them time. effort and money. You can post any L&D or HRD related project and I just checked and “e learning” is listed as a category. They even offer a full “TopSourced” brokerage service where they will source for you (There’s a fee for this service as you’d expect). I hope this is helpful.
P.S. For any L&D providers reading this I would recommend the site for business development because you register as a provider, pay small annual membership (£175 for sole traders) and get project alerts for contract opportunities based on your provider profile.

  3. Many thanks
Thank you for the support and advice offered in both the replies to my query. It’s great that you have been willing to share your knowledge – just hope I can return the favour at somepoint in the future. Both replies have been extremely useful in pointing me in the right direction to start with.
