The National Organisation for Adult Learning (NIACE) will be running a campaign, "Sign up now", from 5-11 Jan, to promote enrolments to adult education programmes nationwide. Businesses, museums, libraries and learning providers will also be joining in the drive to promote continuing education.

The campaign is linking with the government's adult basic skills campaign, "Get on". NIACE is also offering five £500 awards to providers of "projects that have shown innovation in terms of improving access for adults and developed longer term strategies in reaching adults with basic skills needs."

The Sign up now campaign is sponsored by the DfES, LearnDirect and the European Social Fund.
