Non-compulsory learning – what’s your policy on this

default-16x9

Currently trying to understand how organisations support their staff who elect to undertake study for qualifications, exams etc which have some relevance to their current or next role, but which are not compulsory.  Common themes seem to be for the employer to pay for the study material and exam on successful completion or to pay for one exam sitting up front. What's your experience of this?  Thanks
