N/SVQ online portfolio assessment systems – do you know of any?

default-16x9

I am looking for companies that offer online portfolios that candidates are able to upload evidence and their assessor can remotely view.

I know of 2 commercially availble ones - but has anyone got any other suggestions. Or does anyone have feedback on using one that they would recommend?

  1. I would also like some information
I haven’t got any answers to this, but am interested in exploring the possibility of on-line portfolio-building and assessment. Most of my candidates are at a distance from me, so although I do meet with candidates face-to-face at regular intervals, some electronic component would be useful. Working in the voluntary sector, cost is an issue, so am looking for relatively simple/inexpensive ways of implementing some electronic aspect of portfolio-building using standard MS packages. We do have an organisational intranet, and it should be possible to have password-protected sections on it.

  2. On-Line NVQ’s
An organisation that runs NVQ’s and other types of competence management on-line is SkilSure Ltd. Take a look at their website

  3. Eportfolios
We have looked at many e-portfolio providers and have taken the route with NVeeQ from http://www.trainingplanit.co.uk as their system combines everything we need and has a complete NVQ management system with many useful features. Also, they charge per candidate on a “pay-as-you-go” basis which we find most convenient. I think it would suite your purposes too.

  4. Learning Assistant
I am aware of two e assessment systems that are currently widely used. One of which Goal, the other is Learning Assistant which I have used for my own level 4 management VQ and we piloted Customer Service VQs for our own candidates. This is a comprehensive, easy to use system if you want to go down the road of purchasing a e-portfolio. Your other option is to create your own. If you can access a bit of webspace and some time you could create your own and supplement it with the training resources and web links required to ensure your candidates have access to all relative training. This way you can ensure your candidates have the best possible opportunity to complete their VQ customised to your own organisation’s policies and procedures.
