NVQ Assessor Award

default-16x9

I am thinking of a small career change from trainer to NVQ Assessor. Could anyone give their advice on the A1 Assessor award, experiences of taking the course, and possible options open to someone with this qualification.

Many thanks for your help.

  1. Assessor’s Award
    Hi Natasha
Five years ago, I started working for a training provider. One of the terms of my employment was that I completed my ‘D’ units (now translating as ‘A’ awards). I did the qualification ‘on-the-job’ and have since moved into the corporate world, where the qualifications have much enhanced my remuneration!!!!
    I say: ‘Go for it!!!!’

I hold the D32/33/34 & 36 units and have had a refresher of the new V1(verifier).

I train as well as Assess and Internally Verifiy.

The NVQ assessment/verification units make you eligible to work on any NVQ programme where you are ‘occupationally competent’ so like the comment below – go for it!
