Although cannot help you with work avenues, who did you do your NVQ with? I am a freelance trainer and I want to get into assessing.

vocational colleges may be the way to go
I have been an NVQ assessor and Internal Verifier for some years. Although I now work for myself, I have picked up quite a lot of NVQ candidates by contacting my local Vocational College. The area you have qualified in may be of benefit to them, especially as many colleges now run business to business services which are encouraging local employers to take up NVQ courses. Some of these run as part of Government initiatives which make them free to employers, with the college getting full funding.
