Organisational mergers and Training

I am doing some research for a report that I have to write.
I work within the public sector and we will be merging with a sister organisation in April 2001.
I need some practical and academic references to help me to write a report and also to do the Training and Development Strategy.
One of the key issues is that there is a danger of a two tier system as one side of the organisation has had my wonderful services for the last 2 years and the other has not.
The orgnanisational strategy is not likely to be forthcoming
so my TNA interviews have been very job/task focussed.

Any help would be fab.

  2. T&D strategy for Anglo-Italian Merger
    In 1998 my company merged with a similar Italian company. Similar to your experience, the UK organisation was quite well advanced in T&D whereas the Italian company had no apparent T&D strategy.

    However, what was important was ensuring both sides felt they had participated in deciding the T&D strategy as this is fundamental to change management.
