I'm trying to find out some info on payroll providers, in particular Empower Payroll. This seems to be a MS Great Plains package. Type of info I'm after is:
- is it well regarded?
- how does it compare to other payroll systems (for c.9000 staff), eg from Midland? (functionality, ease of use, flexibilitiy, cost, long-term future)
- is it easy to integrate with other HR systems?
Any pointers on these, or where I can get some information (I've wandered down so many dead ends chasing google key word searches on it!) - greatly appreciated.

a continued trawl of the web has traced this through a series of acquisitions from PWA to Great Plains/ Microsoft to Northgate. So have a fair bit of info from the Northgate website (although Empower Payroll isn’t specifically mentioned – Empower HR or ResourceLink Payroll appear to be their products).
Still interested in thoughts on quality of this product against other market leaders.
