Mobile phone retailer Phones 4U is to launch a training academy to deliver learning and development for its 3,500 employees.
Chief executive John Caudwell has pledged a £5m investment in the new facility, to be based in the Midlands.
Bill Tolmie, formerly head of training at Singlepoint , has been appointed to head the academy.
In addition to the £5m investment, Caudwell also announced a further £500,000 available to staff as incentives.
He said: "The training academy provides another example of Phones 4U's commitment to customer excellence. The academy will ensure that all Phones 4U staff will have the opportunity for career progression and to develop personally."
