I would be very grateful for any recommendations for companies who provide facilities for the recording and production of spoken word tapes/CDs. Also for companies who specialise in the marketing of tape/CD based training resources.

We at Vision Sales Services provide a bespoke interactive audio CD to delegates who have attended our sales improvement programmes.
Most local recording studios (check yell.com) will allow people to use their facilites (it’s not just for rock bands). We pay about £25 per hour which includes the services of an enigineer or technician. For an hours worth of recording you should allow 3 hours studio time (as long as there are not too many mistakes or coughs). A good tip is to make sure you have a script prepared and practiced before going into the studio. You will then be given a master CD that you can copy or the studio will run copies off for about £1 each. You can get professional looking cd labelling kits from most stationers.
