   I used to do this with groups who weren’t full time project managers; eg PA’s, marketing exec’s, HR folk, who needed to understand how to plan and manage something as a project but PRINCE would have been way too heavy.

   We picked a relatively straightforward task for the group and got them to do the full planning cycle, for example, a product launch or a company relocation or an awards ceremony or a company conference.
   It was well within their knowledge base and was directly relevant to the need they had. It also meant that the resources you needed to provide were relatively straghtforward.
