Qualifications for Primary Care admin staff

default-16x9

I have been requested to put together a training spec for a development programme for admin staff and administrators, and receptionists in a Primary Care setting. I have got several examples already of materials on offer (PRP, DRP, SVQ and examples from the Grange Group). I am meeting soon to disuss what needs to go into a training programme and just want to make sure I have looked at the various options first.

I would welcome any ideas out there on qualifications and materials that might be useful as a guide.

Thanks.

Jean Byrne.

  1. TRY OCN.
I have also sought materials and qualifications in many cases qualifications are long and cumbersome. Have you tried OCN these are 20 or 30 hour accredited courses and can draw funding. The range is extensive and learners put a portfolio together rather than pass an exam.
