Hi, I wondered if you can help me, I have been tasked to find some qualified A1 NVQ assessors by a client and have not come across this need before. At this stage they are looking for contacts to talk to and I wondered if any of you could suggest some people you have used previously, ideally 1 man bands and not companies, as the work would be on a self contracted basis. Please let me know.

A1 assessors

I suspect this is due to the increasing needs for gov backed training initiatives. i.e. train to gain.
Personally, I have been approached a lot recently by agencies, however the rates on offer are often below national min wage – as the paymenst are output based and very inrealistic!
Hand on heart I would not recommend anyone undertake this work as it is priced for people as a ‘second’ income rather than truly freelance.

Association of Assessors
I did find an association of assessors yesterday, but when I tried to find it with a search again today I just got hundreds of job sites. I will try and find it for you! Could be a good place to start.
