Ready to wear PCs

default-16x9

Latest new age product to hit the market this year, will be the portable PC you wear on your head! It may sound like something from a sci-fi movie, but as of March people will be able to attach a PC to their head.

The Xybernaut Company is the first to develop the wearable PC known as Poma. The revolutionary product will enable users to check emails, play music or play games. Even though it may be possible to do all these things on the move already, it has not been possible to do them all using just one device.

“What you have here is a head-mounted display that has the same resolution and imagery that you would see if you were looking at a desktop monitor…….the only difference is that the headset weighs three ounces.” said Edward Newman, Xybernaut president.

The computer is operated using a handheld optical mouse and the screen (a tiny device located over the eye) will appear to be as large as a 15inch monitor. However the image of the screen will not block your vision, which means by changing focus you can freely walk around seeing your surroundings as well as the transparent screen.

But it’s not cheap. Currently retailed at $1,499
