Microsoft have released their beta version of Frontpage 10 that is reported to include new graphics and content tools, includes Photo Gallery, a new feature, Automatic Web Content and have also enhanced the softwares collaboration capabilities.
Frontpage 10 is included as part of the beta release of Office 10, even though it is also available as a standalone application.
Additional features include features that allow a thorough analysis of how visitors use their website.
Photo Gallery allows users to arrange and display their personal or business images in any of several different customised layouts, that can have captions and descriptions added to them, reorder images and change image sizes.
With Automatic Web Content, users can insert information that arrives from MSNBC, such as news headlines or weather forecasts which will be updated daily without the user having to do any more work.
By adding the Usage Analysis Reports to the FrontPage site management, allows businesses to track how many hits they get per page of their website and where visitors were referred from and also learn which browsers and operating systems their visitors use.
The new SharePoint technology allows collaboration between groups of users, share documents and to communicate via their SharePoint-based websites through their browsers.
The main idea of FrontPage 10 is for the product to combine features to help individuals, teams and organisations get more from their websites. Pages can be created quickly and have more control over the characteristics of their website.
