Solstra, the online learning management system designed by a BT partnership company, has announced a partnership with SmartForce, one of the larger elearning companies. As a result, SmartForce is offering 1200 of its IT training courses available to Sostra customers.
The Solstra platform is specifically designed for internet and company intranet delivery of online learning. This new partnership will provide a considerable portfolio of courses focused on major desktop and applications software at all levels of use.
The management software also enables HR and training managers to track the use of learning programmes amongst employees and students, updating records automatically as users complete the modules.
We can expect a series of tie-up deals of this nature as the large online learning suppliers such as NETg and SmartForce compete for larger shares of the burgeoning marketplace.
