Successful ‘philosophies’ around training in organisations

default-16x9

I work for a 400-strong Business Unit that is part of a 2000 strong global business and IT consulting company. We have a diverse number of roles and people move betwenn different projects. Our training philosophy at the moment is that it is a nice to do, but not really part of working life. I am interested to hear from people about how organisations of a similar size make training integral to work. Any thoughts or ideas would be welcome.

Bit bigger at about 10,000 and different sector. If you let me have your e-mail address I can let you have a copy of a presentation I gave explaining how the organisation moved from forced training to self-directed training and development.
