Sun Microsystems has acquired Isopia, a developer of online e-learning software, as it enters the rapidly growing online training market projected to exceed $23 billion by 2004.

Sun Microsystems has Sun Microsystems has acquired Isopia, a developer of online e-learning software.

This signals Sun’s latest move into the online training market which is now – according to market researcher IDC – expected to exceed $23bn (£16m) by 2004. Isopia employs 240 staff who will now be transferred to Sun’s educational services dpeartment. Sun have declined to give details about the cost of the acquisition.
