Take part in TrainingZone’s inaugural Twitter chat

As a part of TrainingZone’s social learning month we are planning our first ever TrainingZone Twitter chat.

Jane Hart, who is currently curating a series on social learning on the site, has agreed to co-host the discussion. The Twitter chat will take place on the #tzchat hashtag on Thursday 22 September from 16.00 to 17.00 BST.

Twitter chats are open to all on Twitter and tend to focus on a particular topic. The discussion host will ask questions to participants. In our forthcoming chat we will be posting a few social learning questions for discussion. All you have to do to participate is to follow #tzchat hashtag on the day – and at the right time - and reply to questions and other comments from participants.

Jane Hart is currently co-host of  the UK/European early afternoon #lrnchat – which was set up by Marcia Conner. This chat also takes place later in the day in the US. It used to run weekly on Thrusdays but over the summer went monthly.

Jane Hart also runs the #realwplearn chat with Jane Bozarth that takes place monthly on the second Wednesday of the month. This Twitter chat looks at where the “real” learning takes place in organisations, ie in informal, social learning.

Jane also sets up ad hoc chats such as the #elnil chat at a recent Bristol E-learning Network event – read more on that here.

We look forward to seeing you on the 22 September. If you have any questions then please add them in the comments section below. And for those of you who may be new to Twitter or Twitter chats, take a look at this article and be sure to look at the comments section which is full of great tips and advice on how to get the best out of these chats.
