The G.R.A.F.T pledge for 2011

default-16x9

•G row….I will grow every day in 2011.No matter how small, I will add to my commercial offering, be it product, service or simply personal development. I will learn something daily, no matter how small, and add it to my business offering.

"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young"- Henry Ford

•R ealism…I will set realistic measurable goals and I will achieve them in a realistic manner.  The small steps towards my goals will be a daily project and I will realise them in a timely manner. If I achieve the small steps in a structured manner the larger goal will follow. No more dreaming, action only.

"A goal without a plan is just a wish."- Larry Elder

•A ttitude is the oil that makes commercial engines work. I will not use excuses and I will not apportion blame. My destiny is in my hands. Positive things happen to positive people but it must be backed up by actions. My new most important customer is me. I must endeavour to fulfil my customer promise to me before I can satisfy my external customers.

"There is little difference  in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative."- W. Clement Stone.

F  ocus. This is the be all and end all. Businesses do not succeed because of good ideas or because of good intentions. They succeed after all the elements of a good business model have been mixed together and are then backed up by an unerring focus on success and all that entails. I will never lose focus on the big picture prize this year but neither will I lose focus on the tactical elements that make up the mechanics of my business. Focused people are attracted to one another. Focused people are the people I want to do business with.

"A man's accomplishment in life are the cumulative effect of his attention to details"- John Foster Dulles.

T  hink. I will find some time to think about my business every week this year. I will think about my business and implement constant health checks.  I will think about the issues as much as I think about the opportunities. I will think about making what I have better as much as I think about growth.

"I keep six honest serving men (They taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When And How and Where and Who. – Rudyard Kipling
