The TZ member survey infographic results

info_sign

In July of this year we conducted a mini-census of our members to find out what you, our community of L&D professionals, most liked about the site and what you'd like to see more of in future.

Here are the findings presented in zeitgeisty infographic form. Click on the image to enlarge. Enjoy!

Love the graphics.  Quick question to Training Zone. What changes, suggestions will be taken on board as a prority from the survey ?

  2. member survey actions

    Hi Giovanni

Thanks for your comment. Our actions as a result of the member survey are around many different aspects of the site:

    – We’ve adapted next year’s monthly editorial themes to reflect/include topics that members wanted to see more of (eg training needs analysis, soft skills)

    – We’re doing a lot of work with the way we deliver new content to make sure that it is accessible as possible and as useful to the member as it can be, dpending on what device the content is accessed (multiformat publishing, more videos/podcasts for mobile users etc).

    – We are going to be migrating the site to a new platform which will deliver more functionality for our discussion groups and networking on site as a whole.

These are just three things we’re going to be doing, but there are whiole lot more. Some things obviously more complex than others!

Look out for changes in the new year.

    many thanks,

  3. can we believe this?

An interesting graphic – and even more interesting set of results

Only 9% of people visit the site for blogs & opinions – and yet under "what you you like to see more of" it rates much higher..

77% say they want "multi format" and yet the majority say they want alerts & content by wmail – with only 19% saying "line" events….

I’m not sure the audience knows what it wants!

One think is for sure TZ is changing.. 😉

  4. results

Hi Mike, thanks for the comments.

I could give you the raw data if you like, but you might understandably question the veracity of those too!

With regard to some of the results that might be regarded as slightly anomalous, what can I say: perhaps the 91% who don’t visit the site primarily for blogs and opinions are asking for more in an effort to balance out which parts of the site they visit the most? Of course, some of the results might not logically follow on the face of it, but they are a straight up representation of the data that we received.

TrainingZone is changing. You may not think for the better, but changing it is nonetheless. And believe it or not, much of the change will be based on the member survey!

    Many thanks,

    Jon
