TNA Tool required

How do you approach your TNA? do you have any tools you can recommend? Ideally a system that produces good MI would be great. Thoughts and suggestions gratefully received. Many thanks. Jacquie.

  1. 360 is a great tool
Step one is always being clear about what people need to be able to do. A competency framework is a great way to ensure that you’re doing your analysis against a solid ackground, and that everyone knows what they need to work towards. It doesn’t have to be big or complicated, just realistic and clear.

Once you know what you are assessing against then 360 assessment is an excellent way not only to identify needs, but also to help employees understand and internalise those needs.

If you choose the right system you can get some fantastic MI.

Here’s a couple of links that may help:

  2. TNA
There is a very basic TNA tool I devised, called the NATPack, which contains a structured set of forms and notes on their use, to enable the conduct of a TNA. It is free and downloadable in pdf format on the downloads page of http://www.TheGeorgeEdwards.com
