trainer wanting to move into HR role

default-16x9

I've been researching courses to study as I'm wishing to move from a training and development role into HR managers function and not sure of the best option. I'm getting a certain amount of experience in this role from my current employer but I'm looking for the best course to provide me with knowledge of employment law. Does anyone know of such a course within the North West.

Thanks

I think you would do best to study for the CIPD Diploma which is the main recognised qualification in HR. College courses should be enrolling now to start late September or you could study by distance learning. People Management and Personnel Today have lots of providers listed. If you join the CIPD which you have to when you start studying you will be given details of your local branch which may be running an employment law session during the next 9 months. Failing that if you do a search on the internet for employment law training lots of things come up. From time to time I run them myself in Northampton and may be doing one soon – contact me for more details.

    Good luck.
