Can anyone tell me of a place in or near Edinburgh which has innovative training aids or conceptual ideas for training days - original ice- breakers and training gizmos. I heard of such a place recently and forgot the name and address of it

Try "The Training Shop" for courses and materials
Suni,
one of the best organisations I have come across that offer innovatory training techniques is the Training Shop(try their website)They have a broad range of programmes including those aimed at making learning more experiential and accelerated.
They also have a range of training gismos and materials that they sell to TRainers.

Training Gizmos
I concur with the previous writer with reference to the Training Shop, they have some wonderful and unique stuff. The only advice I would give is that some items; stress balls, bubble timers, can be bought cheaper from toy and gift shops if you look round for them. I bought related stuff recently in Edinburgh from the Camera Obscura shop at the top of the Royal Mile. There is also a shop full of related goods in the underground shopping centre near Waverley Station, its name escapes me for the moment.
