Training Debates

default-16x9

Does anyone have any info on current relevant national debates regarding learning? I'm looking to evidence knowledge of this and wonder what people felt was 'current' and more interestingly 'relevant' in terms of learning in the 21st centuary!

  1. National Debate – wish list?
From UKHRD, IT Training magazine, I would say that the two issues that arise most frequently are ROI and blended learning.

I’ve got an axe to grind, I know, but my concern is that nothing is being raised about learning design – especially in relation to e-learning.

It seems to me that the failure of e-learning is often because there there is so little expertise in this important area. We were recently invited to partner a company specialising in delivering IT e-learning material. They have stuff with major US organisations. However, the course I looked at was appalling from a learning design angle.

I’ve produced an article entitled ‘A Brief History of E-learning’ to start the debate. Email me for a copy.
