TRAINING MEASURES

default-16x9

I need to monitor the progress of training within a manufacturing environment. In order to do this I need to show how we are progressing in percentage terms of skills required and competence levels. It has to be a scoring mechanism so that I can report on a weekly basis.

One idea I haveused in the past are Knowledge/Skill Checklists. They list the knowledge/skills being covered on the course, with a 1-5 ratings system of ability. The individuals themselves can self rate, or the line manager can assess the behaviour. You may be able to adapt the concept to fit a manufacturing environment. There are some sample Checklists at http://www.abctrainingsolutions.biz – free trainer resources section: ‘TNA and Evaluation Tools’.
    Hope that helps.
    Happy Days!
