training on performance rating

default-16x9

we are launching a new performance management process and designing a workshop for the managers.

One of the problems that we encoutner is the fact that managers have difficulties to differentiate level of performance within their team (despite the fact that the performance levels are fully described)

would anyone recommend a free resource center where I could find scenarios describing how staff has performed their accountabilities so that manager can assess their level of performance against the rating that we have implemented?

    Hi Nat,

Regarding your new process and scenarios I suggest that you use real life scenarios relevant to the managers workplace. How about sending out a short questionnaire asking managers which situations they find the most difficult to rate. After collating this info you could then use this as the set scenarios.
You do mention that the new process and rating that we have implemented – I assume the managers were involved in this process, if so, how about pulling together a list of behaviours etc that match the levels. I have used this myself in workshops built the list live. I have found that this helps the managers to work through any confusion rather than giving them a ready-made list.

    I hope this helps,
    Debbie
