Training Provider Database

default-16x9

I have been asked to set up a Training Provider Data base. The data base will hold information ( in a standardised format )on different providers, the subects that they cover, the format that they provide training, references etc.

I would apprecaite any information you may have on products that are already available in the market place or alternativly if you have set up a data base in your organisation.

Thanks for your help

  1. Training Provider Data
I’m sure Rachel you will be innundated with information on training providers (like myself) in response to you query. However, there is a National Training Index of providers, which incidentally does not include everyone, which you can access through the internet. If you let me know where you are and what type of business you are in, I will let you know if I can be of further help.

  2. It depends on what training you are looking into.
    Rachel,

It depends on what sort of training you are looking into. I have information on a number of training providers in the I.T Sector. please drop me an email for more information.

We have an extensive on-line training provider database (currently around 1000 providers) Providers enter their own details at no charge. To view it go to http://www.magentanetwork.co.uk select ‘free resources’

Please contact me if you would like further details or would like to know how you could use the resource for your requirements.

  4. Database
Rachel, before I go off for a fun weekend in the Peak District, here is what I have to say about a database – ACCESS. It’s a monster, but actually not that hard to build once you learn the codes and parametres, and you can then include information on it (if you are appropriately registered with the Data Protection Agency) such as: “07/04/00. Spoke to Catherine today. American. Nice, but really straight. Laughed a lot. Office located in 1800 acres of farm / woodland with corporate hospitality features – canoeing, horse riding, walking, bicycling, shooting. Must go see.” Then, when you come visit, you can make a new entry mentioning what happened and so you build a history to refresh your memory as you need it.

I would ALWAYS recommend designing it on paper first, so you can cover how you want information to be linked. You can cruise their model database, Northwind Traders, which is on the disk to see just how fab it can be.

    Have a great weekend!

    Catherine
