Is management an art or a science? That's the question sparked
by Paul Kearns' article "What's the Point of Leadership
Programmes" this week. Paul argues that leadership development
has traditionally had a cavalier approach to evaluating return
on investment. Put succinctly his point is: if you can't measure
the results, then how will you ever know whether the investment
was worthwhile? However some TrainingZONE members feel that
management is more of an art than a science and therefore a
matter of perception than hard analysis. Have your say on the
