Using CBT packages for NVQs

default-16x9

I would like some information on how CBT materials are utilised on NVQ programmes - specifically in training, learning development areas. I am particularly interested in finding out whether the CBT materials include a strategy for portfolio developments. Are there any sites that provide demonstrations of such usage?

  1. CBT and NVQs
TNA produced the first CBT module for SouthWest trains, which introduces staff to NVQs: What are they? why should I try for one? and how do I go about creating my portfolio? This was a self study CBT now installed at all SWT learning centres, which are used 24/7.
If you think it might be of use I can pass your request on to the Open Learning Manager at South West Trains, who might be able to give you more information about how they have approached using CBT for their NVQ programmes.

  2. Porfolio Building Transfer of Learning
Work that I am doing offers the option to include portfolio building activities in a whole series of post-course follow-up activities, delivered online over a period of weeks after a combination of online learning and face-to-face workshops.

I’d be happy to share some of my thoughts directly. I believe you can reach me via the hyperlink below.

  3. CBT for NVQ UKU support
There are a number of packages available to support the Underpinning Knowledge and Understanding sections of NVQ’s. I am also aware of a number of packages that can be used to totally manage NVQ’s on Networks or over the internet. One of these packages also allows you to link CBT packages or other e-learning materials to individual units or even performance criteria. If you would like further information, please get back to me.
