I am interested in ways in which people have used the internet to enhance learning and training - preferably with little or no outlay on special software or equipment.
eg
- games and exercises that use the net
- using clubs and chatrooms for learning activities
- setting up virtual classrooms etc etc
All contributions (however mundane OR bizarre) will be very gratefully received.
Thanks in anticipation

Free training
We have discovered a number of free training opportunities on the internet and use them for our employees. The BBC offers free training on how to use the internet for beginners. Also, the government offers a grant through Dfee to learn new skills. We use the grant and have our employees who want to develop their IT skills login to http://www.ilearn.to. It costs £25 initially, but that is refunded by ilearn after the employee completes five courses.
Most of the free training is IT related, but by exploring sites, you can find more and more free learning.
