Who makes CD roms for key skills?

We have some funding for a key skills project (levels 1 - 4) and want to evaluate some CD rom writing companies. Do you have any experience of using key skills CD Roms? Can you recommend someone to do this?

  1. CD-ROM content development

Our company designs and creates interactive trainingCD-ROMs and web-based training programs. No specific experience of key skills content but 12 years of producing top quality learning programs for clients such as Rover, Xerox and Zeneca.

Over 50 project examples may be found on our web site at

Please have a look and drop me a line if you would like to talk.

  4. Recommendation for EBC
I recommend EBC, based in Manchester. They are specialist producers of Training Videos, distance learning materials and CD ROMs.

You can phone them on 0161 248 3500, Robin Hoyle is a senior contact there.

  5. Industrial skill training packages
Engineering Adventures specialise in producing multimedia CD-ROMs for industrial skill training applications. We use a range of techniques from fully interactive simulation environments to standard software frameworks into which trainers can add their own information.
If this sounds appropriate you can find a lot more details and some example on our web site.

From memory, I have recently had a meeting with the MD of Cambridge Training and Development (CTAD) who I think are working with the DfEE to develop new Key Skills standards on CD.
