The problems associated with using a keyboard or mouse such as musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, etc.
Position yourself
The correct posture is important to ensure against avoiding MSDs.
Go lightly
Low forces can result in discomfort or injury, and these are considered as: dynamic force exerted through movement such as typing or clicking mouse buttons; static force such as holding the mouse or phone; contact force such as resting wrists on the edge of the desk.
Take breaks
Taking the appropriate breaks are important to help the body recover from any activity and depends on the type of work being done. This guide outlines different ways of taking a break whilst still carrying out certain tasks.
