The Training Camp has been named training company of the year for the second year running.
The company won the accolade at the Institute of IT Training awards (IITT), it is the first time that the same company has triumphed twice in succession.
Another company scooping two awards was Thomson Scientific, whose global learning and development team won the best training department and staff development programme categories.
A new category of award, recognising best practice in the public sector, was won by Belfast City Council’s Information Services team.
On an individual level, Tracy Fell Smith, an IT trainer with BUPA Care Services, won the accolade of trainer of the year and Sarah Barnard collected the freelance trainer award. While Donald Taylor won the Colin Corder Award for outstanding contribution to the IT training industry, and received a standing ovation.
At the ceremony in London's Dorchester last week, IITT chief executive described Taylor as “a tremendous ambssador” and for the profession, who had received more nominations for the award than the IITT had ever received before.
