Would anyone like to suggest a session rate for coaching executives at middle/senior management level. I am defining a session as 1.5 hours. This is in the South East of England. A daily rate is not so appropriate in these cases.
Thanks for your thoughts!

take care not to under charge
Hi Kate
Of course a daily rate is appropriate.
You must have a business model which requires that you make a certain amount of money to remain solvent, with a one session taking the best part of a 1/2 day (ignoring travel) you need to charge at least 1/2 day of a consultancy rate.
Many coaches find themselves grossly undercharging and then wondering why they cannot make any money!
For senior managers it is not unknown to charge 500-2000 per session.

Advice
Hi – we run a very robust assessment process for executive coaches and I have a panel of executive coaches I can recommend as well as provide an indication of fee. my email is waynedotmullen@standardbankdotcom
How much to charge
Kate I’m with Mike on this – and apologies in advance if this sounds like egg-sucking, not my intention! – you need to take in to account your travel, prep time, etc – plus you wouldn’t, presumably, be able to do anything else for the remainder at least of that half (if not whole)day. It’s up to you of course but I would advise you strongly NOT to go down the route of an hourly rate (it just gets too complicated in my experience). My minimum charge is half a day (up to 4 hours)and only then in the South East and therefore local(i.e. if it’s in the EU/Scotland/elsewhere in UK then that’s not sufficient)
I guess if it’s all for the same company in the same location you could decide to offer to do 2 session in one half-day?
hope it goes well – best wishes

Average Prices
Hi there,
From what I have seen in the market average prices for one2one sessions with execs etc can vary from £600-£1500 for a half day session.
Hope that helps.
Thanks!
Thanks to all of you who’ve taken the time to respond – other suggestions for rates also welcome!
