Sotheby’s and eBay are to join forces and launch a co-branded website this summer. Bidding will be able to take place online during online auctions held in London and New York.
Bill Ruprecht, Sotheby’s CEO, said “It represents the next phase in Sotheby’s online auction business and we believe it will positively position Sothebys.com for future growth”.
The alliance will combine eBay’s technology with Sotheby’s auction expertise, experience and reputation.
