EvaluationZone had 17,500 hits in its first week after launching on 7th January 2002. That's a lot of interest! Because of the level of interest and the number of enquiries we've received, we've prepared this page in response to member requests to help those wanting to find out more about the aims and objectives of EvaluationZone before they subscribe.

Who runs EvaluationZone?

EvaluationZone is updated regularly with best practice studies, new topic areas, workshop reports and reading lists to be added, this site is going to grow!

How does EvaluationZone differ to other specialist websites?

EvaluationZone, is an unique, online, structured development programme that also provides a forum for sharing techniques and ideas. Not only does it offer a service currently unavailable anywhere else but it is a programmed, learning website. EvaluationZone is based on a simple yet revolutionary evaluation model and framework that can be applied to absolutely any type of training and development intervention. The principles are easy to learn and its practical application offers trainers enormous developmental opportunities.

What are the monthly online workshops?

The monthly workshops take place live on TrainingZONE and deal with very specific topics raised by the subscribers. They are live usually at 1300 (GMT) on the first Friday in each month, although the times can change in order for members overseas to attend more easily.

My office has a firewall - will I still be able to access the workshops?

Some users entering the workshops through a computer network in their organisation may have problems accessing the workshop area initially. This can be overcome by providing your IT department with the following information: Hostname: volano.sift.co.uk, Port: 8000.

How long do I have to wait for a response if I post my query to the Discussion Forum?

Immediate questions can be posted on the Forum and an answer is guaranteed within 7 days.

How do I find out what others are doing with their evaluation programmes?
