Financial support for training counsellors

default-16x9

My charity client needs to expand its number of counsellors - these are paid staff and volunteers. Does anyone know if it is possible to get financial help for training of this sort? I don't know if it is relevant, but the charity is located between London and the south coast.

  1. Funding help
Your best course of action is to see if your local voluntary and community sector umbrella body has a funding advisor that can help you. Usually this will be called something like Anytown Council for Voluntary Service or Anytown Voluntary Action or Anyshire Rural Community Council.

You could also approach your local Learning & Skills Council and Local Authority to see if they have any funding available to cover accredited training – it is more likely to be available if the volunteers to be trained are currently unemployed and/or do not have any qualifications.

I also have some fundraising resources that might be useful to you – let me know if you’re interested.
